Jukebox Cassanova is Bernie Flesch on lead vocals and guitar, Gary Hawthorne on drums, Matt Combs on upright bass, and Mick Conboy on lead guitar. They joined us for the 2015 'Thank You Fest' and played a set for an audience in the Suggs Studio here at the NPR Illinois station. They were joined by band Ragna Rye who we'll hear from at a later date.
Thursday will mark the 206th year since Abraham Lincoln was born. Ken Bradbury, a prolific Illinois playwright, wrote a one-man, one-act play called 'The Last Full Measure' about what Lincoln may have been thinking in the moments after he was assassinated.
Mulligan Munro is a folk band consisting of Mark Butler, Maureen Douglas, Don Wright, and Mark Hudson. The group brings an eclectic set of influences to the table, resulting in a repertoire of pub-friendly songs that sound uniquely their own.
