42nd Street At The Little Theatre On The Square

Sullivan, Illinois is quite a distance from Broadway.  But this small east central Illinois community is the unlikely home of the only professional theatre between Chicago and St. Louis.   The Little Theatre On The Square has been home to quality productions for nearly 60 years.  

Starting this week, another great show is on the schedule and it features Springfield's own Gus Gordon.  He'll play Julian Marsh in 42nd Street.

Johnny Molson & Gus Gordon Are The Odd Couple

The story of The Odd Couple is one that's been told not only on stage, but as a movie, TV series - even a cartoon. The story is a classic one full of comedic one-liners, but also a lot of heart. Starring in a new local production is radio personality Johnny Molson, and the head of the Hoogland Center for the Arts, Gus Gordon. At The Hoogland: The War Of The Worlds, Season Tickets And More

Thanks to donations from the community, the Hoogland Center for the Arts in 2012 dodged foreclosure and landed on firmer financial ground.  

That means the staff can now plan longer term.  Executive Director Gus Gordon says he's now selling full season ticket packages for the very first time.

Opening Night For "Gypsy" At The Hoogland
